Let's come together to Protect the Paw!
Our teachers, staff and students have returned to school!
Who's ready to Protect the Paw to ensure a positive and healthy school year?
We've got this, Milton!

The Town of Milton website linked here offers daily updates on positive and presumed positive cases of Covid-19 in the town of Milton as well as Town, State and Federal guidelines and information.
9/30/20: MPS Daily Health Screening Sign Off
A vital element of ensuring the health and well-being of our students and staff this year is the MPS Daily Health Screening. All families and staff in the Milton Public Schools are required to perform this health screening every school day. Please take a moment now to familiarize yourself with the MPS Pre-Screening Checklist. If your child has any of these symptoms, they must be tested for COVID-19 (SARS CoV-2) and submit a negative test to their school nurse; or have a medical clearance note submitted to the school nurse, or complete the required quarantine before returning to school. Students should not return to school until cleared by the school nurse.
Please click this link by Monday, October 5, 2020, to verify that you have received, read through, and understand the requirements of the MPS Daily Health Screening. You must verify receipt separately (by completing this link) for each child who attends the Milton Public Schools. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Please review Superintendent Jette's 9/24/20 blog post for information about the policy on students switching between models and possible model changes for the district as a whole as the year progresses.
9/17/20: Milton Public Schools COVID-19 Positive Case Process
As living in a Covid-19 world is our current reality, we recognize that our schools do not exist in sealed bubbles, and we will likely experience positive cases in the Milton Public Schools. Our active safety protocols - mandated mask wearing for anyone who enters our schools, social distancing throughout all buildings, daily at home prescreening for all students and staff, increased cleaning and sanitizing, increased ventilation, half of the school population for in-person learning, vigilant hand hygiene and more - are designed specifically to decrease the chance of the spread of the virus inside our schools.
When there is a positive case in MPS, communication will be a key component. We have developed a Milton Public Schools COVID-19 Positive Case Process and invite you to read it here. Knowing when and why you will be contacted, and by whom, will be important as we safely navigate this school year together.

9/11/20: MPS Health Pre Screening Checklist
The Milton community is making a great effort to Protect the Paw! A key component of a safe return to school is a daily health screening, every day, for all students and staff.
Each day, families and staff will be asked to attest to a series of questions about health symptoms. Once you answer the questions, there is a protocol to follow if any questions are answered in the affirmative.
The Milton Public Schools Commitment to Care holds each of us responsible to help keep our students, staff and community safe. Please read through the MPS Health Pre Screening Checklist here and contact Director of Nursing Kim Coughlin with any questions.

Due to restrictions on the capacity of buses, some changes were required to our bus procedures. We are still transporting all students in Grades K-6 who live more than two miles from their school and we will be filling other available seats (up to the limited capacity) with those who signed up last spring for transportation, are in the hybrid model, and are still interested in taking the bus.
Please visit our Transportation page for detailed updates.

9/10/20: Food Service
We are excited to share the fall Food Service plan with you. All details can be found in this link.
Students will have two options – grab and go (several breakfasts and lunches) as they leave school on their in-person days or once a week pick up (at MHS near the field house doors behind the school) of multiple breakfasts and lunches on Wednesday.
Due to an extension by the USDA, all meals will be free to all students through December 2020. If a USDA waiver is not extended in December students accounts will then be charged accordingly. Meals will remain free for our free and reduced students. All meals will be eaten at home.
